Expert's Tips For Timed Assignments

Course Policies Regarding Anthropology 5 Course

Discussions Participation

At least one (1) discussion board or VoiceThread task is assigned each week. To obtain full credit for participation/attendance, you must make one (1) initial post to the discussion subject and comment to at least two (2) others (worth 3 points each - Grading rubric).

Netiquette: Use proper online etiquette. Maintain a professional attitude by being courteous, empathetic, and speaking in a businesslike manner. Avoid using negative or criticizing language.

Quizzes

MONDAY, 11:59 p.m. is the deadline for all weekly quizzes. Late work will be penalized by 10% every day. Simply upload or submit any late assignments through Canvas as though they were on time. For verified medical reasons, exemptions will be granted (eg, a verifiable note from your doctor).

There are no time limits on the quizzes. Each quiz will enable you three (3) attempts, with the highest grade counting. Your lowest quiz grade will be dropped automatically, allowing you to avoid one quiz per semester. One week before the due date, quizzes will be made available.

Exams

There are two (2) exams in this course. Despite the fact that they will take the form of an online quiz, exams will differ from weekly quizzes in the following ways:

It is not permitted to submit exams late. Exams will only be available for a 24-hour period. They will be available on exam day beginning at 12:00 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. You can, however, request that we take my online exam for me in exchange for timely assistance.

Exams frequently include essay questions. The academic integrity section of this course contains policies on plagiarism and cheating.

It will take you one hour and fifteen minutes to complete your exam. If you don't study, it's unlikely that you'll pass the exam.

Project with a Time Limit

Throughout the first few weeks of class, you must consider a topic related to the course that you find interesting, important, and relevant to you for the term project task. Then you must decide how you will deliver it. It could be a standard research paper or something completely different, depending on your preferences.

Here are a few examples:

Include a brief explanatory essay ('Reflective Essay') with your project submission that explains what you did, why you did it, how you developed the Unessay, and what you learned. The length of an essay should be at least 5 pages. It is recommended that this statement be two pages long (double-spaced).
